INSIDE GOOGLE: WHEN RIVERS RISE | DIR: TUCKER BLISS
Inside Google is an episodic series about people from Google collaborating with others to build a safer, smarter, more empowered world with the help of technology. In the pilot episode, When Rivers Rise, which we shot over the course of two weeks in rural India, a small team from Google uses AI to predict where catastrophic floods will travel and broadcast earlier warnings. Our goal was to humanize the Google brand while providing an optimistic look at the role AI technology can play in saving lives.

A team of engineers from Google's Crisis Response team is using machine learning to develop a more accurate and reliable flood forecasting system for countries that need it most. Learn more about how AI and other technology is being used to help provide people with more accurate crisis alerts. http://g.co/earlywarning
